I grew up the youngest of eleven children. Our parents were very loving and supportive. They taught us right from wrong, respect, and what hard work and dedication were all about. I believe that I inherited those traits as I feel I put my heart and soul into everything I do. I take my work seriously and always take it to the next level.

I started reading a great deal in my early twenties and have become an avid reader. It is not uncommon to see me with my nose in a book, one read right after the other. You may even see me going for walks while reading. I love to make myself the characters in what I am reading so I am able to follow and understand how the story will progress.

My full-time job is as Deputy City Clerk/Treasurer at the City of Fairfax, IA, I absolutely love this job and enjoy the people I work with. My favorite task is editing the monthly newsletter, minutes, resolutions, and more.

I also love to work out at Curves (6 days a week). I have met so many wonderful ladies there that have become a huge part of my world.

In 2017 I became a part of Inspire One, a non-profit organization that helps patients fighting cancer. This organization was founded by a dear friend of mine that battled cancer and beat it. We are working together to help make cancer patients' journeys a little more bearable.
